Kathryn M. Kitty Bergman

Kathryn “Kitty” Bergman, age, 63, of Port Clinton, OH, joined her father in Heaven on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Kitty was born on June 17, 1954, in Melrose Park, IL, to Catherine and Fred Boehmer. Kitty met her husband, John Bergman, in Aurora Colorado at the No Frills Grill Sports Bar, and they married on August 30, 1986. She worked at the Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus for more than 10 years and was the 2011 employee of the year. Kitty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandma. She was outgoing, loved music, swimming and dancing. Her family always came first. Her true kid spirit came alive during the holiday season. She enjoyed decorating, traveling and spending time outdoors. Above all she treasured time spent with her family. Kitty will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are husband, John F. Bergman; mother, Catherine M. (Wilson) Boehmer; children, Kristin (Cory) Bergman-Middleton, Marisa Bergman, Jonathon Bergman and Benjamin Bergman; granddaughter, Kinzlee Kathryn Bergman; brothers, Rodney (Carol) Boehmer and James Boehmer, and many nieces and nephews. Her father preceded her in death. A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, OH.
