Kathleen Ann Swartz

Kathleen (Kathy) Ann (Kramer) Swartz, 72, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, surrounded by family.

She was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Ralph and Mary Kramer on November 11, 1953. The first of four children, she was a loving, protective, and dependable older sister.

At 18, she joined Jeep and worked there for thirty years, retiring in 2003. She was proud of her work, and her dedication and perseverance were evident in all she did.

Kathy was larger than life, with a presence that could light up any room. She had the best laugh, the kindest eyes, and a warmth that made people feel instantly at ease. Family was always her favorite thing, and she was there for everyone no matter what. Generous to her core, she would have given her last dollar to someone in need. She also enjoyed simple pleasures, including spending time doing word searches. On her final day, she was smiling and surrounded by loved ones, sharing one last moment of laughter that perfectly reflected her spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Kramer; her brother, Bill Kramer; and her sons, Jon and Chris Swartz.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Swartz and Cassandra Swartz; stepdaughter, Terrie, her grandchildren, Kelsey, Jordan, Ara, Tyrique, Araya, Christopher, and Jazzie; her sister, Joan Abouahmed; and her brother, Robert (Bob) Kramer. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.

Her love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family will remain her lasting legacy.
