Kathleen F. Peters

Kathleen F. Peters, 57, of Oak Harbor, Ohio died Wednesday July 31, 2013 in her residence. She was born in Oregon, Ohio on July 23, 1956 to William T. and Frances F. Meng Harris. Kathleen married David J. Peters in Genoa, Ohio on October 10, 2001 and he survives. Nana as she was known by her grandchildren, loved having her family close and was happiest when she was with them, whether at home or the family cottage on Lake Erie. She enjoyed working outside in her yard and reading in her spare time. Many will remember her as a person who thought of others before herself; giving to others in many different ways. Kathleen was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa. Survivors include her husband David, mother, Frances Harris, children, Andrew Heather Kruse, Mikki Mike Angles, David Carrie Kruse, Ed Melanie Taylor, 15 grandchildren, siblings, Sue Zunk, Joe Shawnee Harris, Cindy Whitner, and step-children, Jenny Peters, Cindy Jonathan Kurtz, Krissy Filmore, and Josh Peters. She was preceded in death by her father, William, daughter, Stacey Kruse, sister, Nancy Vogelpohl, and brother, John Harris. A memorial Mass will be conducted at 10 AM on Monday, August 5, 2013 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 S. Main St., Genoa, OH 43430. Immediately following the Mass the family invites friends and family to a bereavement gathering in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the Carroll Township EMS, 3480 N. St. Rt. 19, Oak Harbor, OH 43449 or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
