Kathleen Katie A. Holubetz (Matthews), age 78, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2014.  Katie was born in Toledo on December 9, 1935 to Clarence and Mildred Matthews. Katie joins her late husband, Karl Holubetz with the angels in heaven.  Katie and Karl were married 49 years. Katie was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, an employee of National Cash Register, as well as a dedicated realtor with the Wells Bowen Agency for 20 years.  Katie and Karl were longtime members of Christ the King church where she was a past President of the Altar and Rosary Society. Katie and Karl enjoyed traveling the United States to visit grandchildren, family and friends, and enjoyed going on cruises to interesting places.  In her younger years, Katie enjoyed ski trips with the Toledo Ski Club, where she met her husband, Karl. Katie is survived by her four sons, Brian (Michelle), Scott (Heather), Craig and Patrick (Erika); brother, John (Cheryl) Matthews; sister, Mary Matthews; grandsons, Christian, Jay, Patrick, and Emiliano; and granddaughters, Stephanie and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bernard and Jim. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, from 10 am to 11 am in the Narthex of Christ the King Church,  4100 Harvest Lane, where the Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11 am. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551.  Arrangements by the Walker Funeral Home.
