Kathleen E. Hiltman, age 86, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026.

Born on August 24, 1939, in Toledo, Kathleen was the cherished daughter of John and Christine Reardon. She attended the University of Toledo, where she studied Language Arts and discovered not only her passion for learning, but also the love of her life. While singing in the university choir, she met Gerald, her devoted husband of 65 years. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to love, partnership, and shared joy.

Kathleen dedicated her professional life to working as a stenographer at Toledo Hospital, where she was known for her precision, and strong work ethic.

She was a woman of many talents and a creative spirit. Kathleen had a remarkable gift for sewing, needlepoint, crochet, and knitting, and took great pride in her craftsmanship. She was a longtime member of a Hungarian needlepoint club, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her love of the art.

Her creativity extended into the kitchen, where she was known as a truly exceptional cook. Kathleen found joy in preparing meals that brought family and friends together. She was especially famous for her lasagna, stuffed peppers, coffee cake, and potato salad. These dishes will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Each Easter, she continued the tradition of baking a lamb cake, a symbol of her devotion to tradition.

Above all, Kathleen was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She poured her heart into caring for those she loved, creating a legacy of kindness, warmth, and unwavering support.

Kathleen will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, Gerald J. Hiltman; her son, Michael S. Hiltman; grandchildren, Alaina Wallace, Mikey Hiltman, Matthew Hiltman, and Louis Hiltman; great-grandchildren, Adrianna Wallace, Raelyn Wallace, Demari Wallace, Anthony Michael Hiltman, and Victoria Grace Hiltman; brother, Dennis Reardon; and sister, Crissie Reardon. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Reardon and Jerry Reardon; and sister, Mary Grace Grzybowski.
