Kathleen Marie Brandes

Kathleen “Kathy” Brandes, age 76 of Maumee, OH passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 24, 1944 to Earl and Catherine (DeVoll) Curtis. Kathy had a passion for art, especially architecture buildings and enjoyed listening to opera music. She spent most of her career in Real estate. Although she spent most of her life in Maumee, she also lived in New York and South Beach Florida. Kathy was a member of the Maumee United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, Bridget S. (fiancé, Michael East) Ramlow, Duane R. Malanchuk; grandchildren, Richard R. (Sarah) Ramlow, Ryan D. Ramlow, Ellen Malanchuk, Julia Malanchuk, Dylan Malanchuk; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Ramlow, Graylynn Williams; siblings, Carol Anne Neiman, John (Gladys) Curtis and loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tobias E. Malanchuk; brothers, Eugene Curtis and Thomas Curtis; nephew, Nicholas Curtis; ex-husband, Melvin (Shorty) Malanchuk. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett St, Maumee, OH 43537. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee.
