Kathleen Bates

Kathleen Bates, 74, of Maumee, passed away August 26, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born November 1, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Mary (Oakes) Bates. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for over 30 years. She liked dressing up as a clown in her earlier years for birthday parties, church functions and also at St. Luke’s Hospital. She enjoyed watching movies and attending New Hope Church. Kathleen is survived by her siblings, Robert J. (Betty) Bates of Baton Rough, Louisiana, Debra (Bill) Johnson of Toledo, Ohio, Katrina Bates of Grove Port, Ohio, Dennis L. (Sharon) Bates of Bryan, Ohio, and James S. (Gayle) Bates of Toledo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gary L. Bates and Robby E. Bates and nephew, Stefan Robert Bates. Friends will be received Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 10-11 a.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee (419-893-7686) where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
