Katheryn Berry Taylor

Katheryn Berry Taylor of Hopewell Township, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2014. She was 57 years old. Kathy was born on January 7, 1956 to Duane Berry and Janet Berry and grew up in Maumee, Ohio. She graduated from Maumee High School in 1974 and attended Bowling Green State University. She married her high school sweetheart, James Willis Taylor, on July 16, 1977. Kathy will be remembered for her bright smile and love for her daughters and late husband James. She was a caring listener and her thoughtful advice will be missed by her family, friends, and coworkers. Kathys 30-plus year career in ophthalmology brought her great joy. For more than 20 years, she worked as a certified ophthalmic assistant at Ophthalmology Associates in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. She was a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, where she served on church council and other committees for a number of years. Kathy is survived by her daughter Elycia and son-in-law Brian; daughter Colleen and son-in-law Brett; father Duane; brother Steve; sister Linda; brother Rob; parents-in-law Frank and Martha; brother-in-law Jay and his wife Christine; sister-in-law Jackie; brother-in-law Bob and his wife Roxanne; sister-in-law Joette and her husband Gene; sister-in-law Janet and her husband Alex; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James and her mother Janet. Memorial services will be held at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 E Wayne St., Maumee, Ohio, on Monday January 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Maumee.
