Katherine Resch

Katherine Resch, age 88 of Sylvania passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in the Franciscan Care Center. She was born July 5, 1932 in Toledo to John and Paraskevi (Dallis) Evdemen. A graduate of DeVilbiss High School and the University of Toledo College of Education, she earned her degree in elementary education. She taught third grade for various schools in Toledo, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed travelling with her husband to New York state, and overseas to London, Paris and Athens. Katherine was preceded in death by her son, John Resch; sister, Betty August; and nephew, James August. Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Charles Resch, Jr.; daughter, Kristina Elizabeth Resch; granddaughter, Zoe Resch; and great-grandson, Grayson. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Thursday, March 25 from 6-8 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 26 from 10-11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral 740 N. Superior St. Toledo, Ohio 43604 where the Liturgy will be held at 11 am.
