Kay was a graduate of Martins Ferry (OH) High School and attended the Elliott Business College in Wheeling, West Virginia. Kay married the love of her life, Boyd O. Montgomery, on September 19, 1942, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, two months before Boyd was called to active duty in World War II. Most years, Kay and Boyd spent several weeks enjoying the sunshine in Fort Lauderdale and Acapulco and their summer weekends at Devil’s Lake in Michigan.

Kay’s family will remember her as a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Kay never sat still because she was constantly offering her help to others. She loved her family deeply and always had freshly baked brownies and cookies plus an endless supply of chocolate for her grandchildren.
