Katherine Maximuk

Katherine Maximuk 90, of Oak Harbor and formerly of Brooklyn, Ohio died Monday, April 4, 2011 at H.B. McGruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born on July 2, 1920 in Bedford, OH to Wasil. and Paraska Cisek Renko. In Cleveland, Ohio she married Adam J. Maximuk, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2003. Katherine enjoyed cooking, sewing, and puzzles. Most of all she loved taking care of her children and will be greatly missed. Katherine is survived by daughter, Betty Richter of New Mexico, son, Alan Maximuk of Iowa, son, John Linda Maximuk of Washington, daughter Sharon Phil Cummings of Graytown, Ohio, and daughter, Donna Chung of Portland, Oregon, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adam, son, Roger Maximuk, sisters Anne Metcalf, Vera Krawczyk, Marg Siedlecki, Marie Renko, brothers, Joseph and Nicholas Renko, and son-in-law, Jim Richter. Visitation will be 3-5PM, Friday, April 08, 2011 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor, with funeral services to follow at 5:00PM. Interment will be private in the Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, 4700 Broadview Rd. Cleveland, Ohio. 44109. Memorial contributions may be given to the Riverview Nursing Home, Oak Harbor, Ohio.
