Karen Ann Stokes

Karen Ann (Bucher) Stokes, age 61, of Holland, died August 31, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born September 18, 1955 in Heilbronn, Germany. A 1973 graduate of Bedford High School, Karen was employed as a Self Insurance Administrative Assistant for the Pepsi Company. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and going to the movies with her husband. She also liked to travel and her family trip to Italy held a special place in her heart. Karen was an animal lover, especially her cat, Buddy. She will be fondly remembered for the strength displayed throughout her illness and for her loving and giving nature to her husband, children, and especially her grandchildren. Left to cherish Karens memory is her beloved husband, Danny Lee Stokes; daughters, Angie Kennedy and Amy Wells; son, William Wells; grandchildren, Jack and Gabriella Kennedy, Finn Kirkpatrick, and Will Wells. She was preceded in death by her father, Barton W. Bucher; and mother, Karin Bucher-Wright. There will be a celebration of life and lunch at Rosie’s, 606 N. McCord Rd, Toledo, OH 43615 at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
