Karen Roth Stack

Karen Roth Stack, age 49, of Sylvania, passed away Monday, March 28,2015 at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. Born November 1, 1966 in Defiance to Dyle and Eleanor (Brehm) Roth, Karen graduated from Ayersville High School in 1985. She earned her bachelors degree in human resources from the University of Toledo , graduating Cum Laude. After a successful career in finance in the auto industry, Karen returned to UT to gain her masters degree in education. She was currently teaching 5th and 6th grade science and social studies at Jackman Elementary. Karen loved teaching, being with her students and watching them excel in life. She often took money out of her own pocket to buy books and supplies to help her students succeed. One of her favorite quotes was I call my students MY KIDS because in our year together they become FOREVER a part of my heart. Karen enjoyed being outdoors, reading, traveling, skiing and being anywhere there was a beach. All these things she enjoyed even more when family and friends were involved. Karen touched more people in this world than there are stars in the sky and was loved by all. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Tracy Stack; son, Riley; stepson, Ryan; parents, Dyle and Eleanor Roth; sister, Robin (Rick) Ball; and brothers, Barry and Michael Roth. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-9 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), Toledo, where a prayer service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 671 Clinton St., Defiance, Ohio, with additional visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Ayersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Washington Local Schools, 3505 W. Lincolnshire Blvd., Toledo, OH 43606, where a memorial fund is being established in Karens name.
