KAREN T. SEMERSKY Karen T, Semersky, 46, of Monclova, OH died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in her home. She was born on October 14, 1967 in Cleveland, OH to William and Rose (Morgan) Manning and was married in Perrysburg, OH on April 26, 1997 to David C. Semersky. Karen was a graduate of the University of Toledo where she obtained her bachelor’s degree and then received her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Cleveland State University. Karen worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for twenty-two years, the last fourteen of which were with the Lenawee Intermediate School District in Michigan. Since August, she has worked as the principal at Morenci Elementary School. Karen touched the lives of many children and fellow educators, whom she dearly loved. She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg, OH, a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association “ASHA” and also was a servant in the Northwest Ohio Emmaus Community. She is survived by her husband, David; stepsons, David Charles Semersky, Jr.of Mount Vernon, OH and Daniel Joseph Semersky of Fort Worth, TX ; father, William Manning of Largo, FL; brothers, Michael E. (Marla) Manning of Euclid, OH and Edward M. (Nancy) Manning of Thousand Oaks, CA; sister, Patricia Ann Manning of Cleveland, OH; niece, Rachel Manning; nephews, Patrick and Mark Manning, sister-in-law Carol A. Semersky of Oregon, OH, brother-in-law Frank E. Semersky Jr. of Holland, OH, and many cherished friends. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 5,, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, OH where funeral services will begin at 11 A.M. with Pastor Timothy P. Philabaum officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorials in Karen’s memory may be made in the form of contributions to the Morenci School District.
