Karen Sue Horner

Karen Sue Horner, age 56, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at her home in Toledo. Karen was born October 15, 1960 in Toledo to Ronald and Frances (Jenkins) Kusz. She was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and most recently worked as a sales consultant at Chicos Clothing Store. Karen loved spending time outdoors. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, cycling, working out and bowling. She was an avid runner and won several awards for placing in marathons and triathlons. She was an amazing mother who will be remembered for her loving, outgoing personality and her fighting spirit. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 38 yrs., Robert M. Horner, Sr.; sons, Corey S. Kusz and Robert M. (Jennifer) Horner, Jr.; parents, Ronald and Fran Kusz; grandchildren, Ava M. Horner and Robert Horner, III; sisters, Kathy Kusz and Kandy (Mark) East; brothers, Ronald (Gina) Kusz, Jr. and John Kusz; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Kusz and grandmother, Phyllis Kusz. Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 12 until 8:00 pm and Monday from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 pm in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. A private family gathering will immediately follow the service.
