Karen Lee Drouillard

March 14, 1952 — March 3, 2025

Karen Lee Drouillard, a beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend, passed away on March 3, 2025. Born on March 14, 1952, in Toledo, OH, Karen lived a life full of love, adventure and selflessness.

Karen attended Central Catholic and graduated from Start High School in 1970. Throughout her life, she held various jobs, including positions at Bank of America, Channel 24, Toledo Jewelers and most recently, Cooper-Smith Advertising. Her professional journey was as diverse as her interests and passions.

Karen was extremely active and an avid runner. She also enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and bowling. In fact, she was a bowling champion in the 6th grade for Pinbusters at Twin Oaks Bowling Alley. She and her husband, Tom, shared a love for travel, embarking on 30 cruises together to Caribbean islands and even Alaska. Karen’s love for music was evident in her frequent attendance at concerts with the Beatles being her favorite band that she was lucky enough to see in NYC in 1965.

To most she was a quiet, ordinary woman, but she was an honest “Kick-ass”: stoic and unwaveringly reliable who had a golden heart. She was known for her selflessness and caring nature and her presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Karen is survived by her husband, Thomas Drouillard; daughter, Kristen (Aaron) Feldman; stepsons, Jon (Monica) Drouillard and Thomas (Sharon) Drouillard; sisters, Susan Horton and Kelle (Dan) White; nephew Nicholas (Kelsey) Horton. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Madden and Carol Whitaker.
