Julie Mathison

Julie Mathison died Monday, August 7, 2023, after a courageous battle with biliary duct cancer. She did her best to be strong and positive, but she knew the battle was against her. The positive spin was she was inundated by the kindness of her very close friends from different phases of her life. She really had no idea of the magnitude of the love surrounding her. She would like to be remembered for her generosity and kindness to others, especially the ones that truly needed her help.

Julie worked at Toledo Hospital as a Radiologic Technologist for over 40 years. Her passion was putting others before herself. Her girl posse was huge and to name them all might risk omitting someone.

She is predeceased by her parents, Jeanann Olds and Richard Mariner. Her brother and sister, William and Sarah Mathison.

Friends are welcome to gather on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., where a memorial service will take place at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Julie asked that you help out a stranger in need, or donate to The Victory Center, NWO Hospice or Toledo’s Greek Orthodox Church food pantry.
