Julia F. Clere, 71, of Oak Harbor, died early Monday morning, June 30, 2014, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Port Clinton. Julia was born February 20, 1943, in Scioto County, Portsmouth, Ohio, to William and Laura (Dugan) Hurst. She was a homemaker and an avid reader, who enjoyed singing hymns, but especially loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. She had attended Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church and was a previous member of Southern Manor Baptist Church, Vanceburg, KY. She is survived by her children, Clarence Jr. Clere of Delaware, OH, James C. Clere of Lake Placid, FL, Diana (Ernest) Walker of Vanceburg, KY, and Roger (Jennifer) Clere of Oak Harbor; 19 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings, Millie Stone of Clay Center, Inez Hicks, John Hurst, Donald (Linda) Hurst and Wanda (Pat) May all of Oak Harbor, and Alma (Norman) Galliher of Rocky Ridge. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Bloomfield, brothers, James, Bill and Phillip Hurst and sister, Dona Lou Wilburn. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Deron Fourman at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, with visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be conducted by Brother Arthur Moore 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at Laurel Point Cemetery, Camp Dix, KY. Memorials may be given in care of the family.
