Judy M. Neff

Judy M. Neff, 82, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio and raised in Michigan, where she graduated from Bedford High School. Judy met the man of her dreams, Edward E. Neff, Jr. and they were married in Temperance, Michigan on November 26, 1960. Edward preceded her in death on May 25, 2014.

Judy possessed a very fine talent when it came to crocheting, creating many afghans and baby clothing for generations of family and friends. She always had the right color from her large stock of yarn. Her baking was wonderful as well, especially her Texas sheet cake that everyone always requested when there was a gathering. Her greatest love was her family, and she always looked forward to them being around her, family was everything to her. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and always made sure they had full bellies when they visited. Throughout the years, she also enjoyed spending time with her dogs. In her later years she enjoyed going out to eat at “R’s” in Genoa and visiting with whomever was there at the time. She spent a lot of time on the phone, not only with her daughter and grandchildren, but with extended family and friends.

Judy is survived by her daughter and her husband, Valerie & Kevin Rhoades, grandchildren, Jaime (Stefanie) Rhoades, Cody (Helena) Rhoades, sisters, Gloria Nelson, Patricia (Brian) Reinke, and Sue (David) Stevenson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Edward Neff, brothers, Loren Nelson, Jr., Ronald Nelson, Randy Nelson, Jeff Nelson, and Ricky Nelson, and sisters, Joanne Harbaugh, and Sandra Kubitz.

Visitation for Judy will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 20, 2025, followed with interment in the Clay Township Cemetery.
