Judy I. Callaway

Judy I. Callaway, 79, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Toledo on February 7, 1945, to Wayne and Winifred (Oberhaus) Samson.

Judy worked at her family-owned Jewelry store, Martin Jewelers. Later she worked in retail and housekeeping. She enjoyed cleaning, tidiness and neatness, she found comfort when everything was in order.

Judy was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, with her favorites being the Christmas movies. She was a huge Buckeye fan, always cheering on the team. Above all Judy loved her family. She was a loving mother, grandma and great grandma. She supported her family in everything they were doing and tried never to miss their sporting events.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Raymond Edwards; second husband, James Callaway; granddaughter, Alexis Grace; son-in-law, Mark Katko. She is survived by her children, Sue Katko, Dean (Kim) Edwards, and Denise (Eric) Hennan; grandchildren, Josh (Jen), Amanda (Ben), Jessica (Tony), Jeremy, Ashley (Tony), Seth (Katie), Jordan (Dakota), Brooklynn, Austin (Maddi), Taylor, and Zach (Sarah); 14 great grandchildren; her loving dog, Sassy.

Friends will be received at Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Rd, Rossford, Ohio on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
