JUDITH “Juju” ANN VERKIN Judith “Juju” Ann Verkin, 80, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born May 26, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert A. and Elinor (Kuney) Snyder. She attended Defiance College where she met her husband, Steven J. Verkin. They married on November 12, 1960 in Defiance, Ohio and they have shared 57 years together. Judy was a Perrysburg City Council Woman for 12 years where she was instrumental in the building of Fort Imagination and the rebuilding of the Perrysburg Pool. She loved to read, work on crossword puzzles, and play board games; Trivial Pursuit being her favorite. She loved to watch football, especially the Chicago Bears. She was an avid pinochle player and played in two clubs. Judy loved to be around people, always helping in any way she could and she will be missed by all who knew her. Along with her husband, Steven, Judy is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Vern) Kiehl, Chris Verkin, Julie (Steve) Morgan and Laura (George) Abbott; five grandchildren, Bobby (Kailee) Morgan, Jordan Abbott, Stevie Morgan, Drew Abbott and Joey Morgan; siblings, Jane Snyder, Tony (LaVerne) Snyder and Mary (Doug) Bahnsen and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bobby Snyder. Friends will be received Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where a Memorial Service will held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11 A.M. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to Perrysburg Parks & Recreation.
