It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Judi on December 29, 2022, from Multiple Myeloma. She previously had stage four breast cancer I 1997 and it was a miracle that she survived it but this time, it was not meant to be.
She started writing poetry at a young age and continued writing her whole life. At age 10 or 11 she started writing plays that her sister and cousins starred in and preformed in the backyard at Oak and Navarre where she moved to at age seven.
Judi graduated from Good Shepherd Grade school and Cardinal Stritch High School and went on to University of Toledo majoring in Social Work and Theater. She acted in many plays there and in the surrounding areas of Toledo.
She worked at Riverside Hospital at age 16 and then moved to the Personnel Department at Mather Springs. She also worked at the railroad, Jeep office and factory, Human Servies in Pioneer Ohio when she and husband Bob moved to Lake Senecca.
Judi had many hobbies including watching Film Noirs on Turner Classic, garage sales, attending auctions, going to concerts, the cassino, cooking, golf, camping, reading biographies and dining out with friends. Judi was a great listener and loved to help others.
Caring for her beloved doggies was one of her favorite things to do. They included Penney, Freckles, Daisy and Bandit who were all waiting for her in Doggie Heaven, along with her nieces Sunny and Misty.
There is so much more we could say about Judi but not enough room here. Judi was an inspiration to everyone in her life. Her relationship with her brother Bill, sister-in-law Susie and her sister Bonnie were like no other; they were “Thick as Thieves”.
Gone before her and welcoming her into heaven are her husband Bob Ritchey, Father Al Tarsha, Brother-in-laws Tom, and Rick.
Survived by Brother Bill (Susie) Tarsha and sister and best friend Bonnie; many cousins, friends from grade school Fran Tscherne, Kathy Miller, and Pam Jacobs. Also, besties Dick Twyford, Kala, Helen, John Lenhart and Joe Turby, and good friend and neighbor Linda Caros. She loved you all.
Thank you to Dr. Mohamad Al-Nsour for your kindness and understanding towards Judi. She really appreciated everything you did for her.
A Catholic Mass will be said for her at a later date. Burial will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 1 pm at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
