Judith Ann Kalthoff

Judith Ann Kalthoff (Judy), age 84, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on December 29, 2023. She was born on April 20, 1939 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Ralph and Loretta Schiefelbein where she grew up. She attended Valparaiso University, where she met Harlan Kalthoff from Kansas City, Mo. They married in 1961 and have been married for 62 years. They lived most of their lives in Kettering Ohio attending Emmanuel Lutheran Church where they were founding members.

Together, they have 5 children, Mark (Christy)Kalthoff, Kristine (William) Mugge, John (Rebecca) Kalthoff, Anne (Doug) Swanson, and Amy (John)Tuttle. They have 20 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 more coming. Judy devoted herself to raising her family and loving her husband, children and grandchildren generously and uniquely.

Judy was a social worker in long term health care for 20 years. She was an active volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association and Stephen Ministries. She lived her vibrant faith in Jesus Christ with humility and wisdom towards her family, friends, and in her church and community.

Judy is survived by her sister, Carol Ericson, her husband, children, and grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephew.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 13101 Five Point Road, Perrysburg, Ohio, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
