Judith D. Hurt

Judith Judy Hurt, age 69, passed away early Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her home in Sylvania surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 5, 1941 to August William Pool and Alice May Jones Pool in Toledo, OH. Judy enjoyed cooking, gambling vacations in Las Vegas, Bingo, shopping and going to garage sales but most of all she loved taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hurt; sisters, Florence, Lucy, and Carol; and brother, Paul. She is survived by her children, Doug Jeanna Hurt, Mark Karen Hurt, Sandra Don Gordon, and Rodney Reta Hurt; best friend and sister-in-law, Shelby Scanlan; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Aiden. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. with a short service of memory at 7:30pm.
