Judith Ann Fennell

Judy Ann Fennell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 4, 2026, following her battle with pancreatic cancer.

Judy was born on April 21, 1940, the daughter of Glenn M. and Alice M. Kachenmeister (née Wagner). She grew up in Holland, Ohio area and graduated from Holland High School in 1958.

Following graduation, Judy worked as a bank teller at First National Bank in Maumee, Ohio, from 1958 until 1963. On July 18, 1959, she married the love of her life, Glenn R. Fennell. Together, they built a life centered around family, friendship, laughter, and many shared memories. Glenn preceded her in death on October 20, 2017. His loss left a deep emptiness in Judy's life, and she missed him terribly in the years that followed. The love they shared remained an important and lasting part of her life.

Judy was the proud mother of two children, Kimerly A. Pawlicki (Daniel, and Scott R. Fennell (Janet). She delighted in her six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wiebeck, Kyle Wiebeck, Danielle Hallihan, Scott Fennell Jr., Carolyn Pawlicki, and Colette Pawlicki; and her three great-grandchildren, Maximus (Max) Grado, Bryn Hallihan, and Seren Hallihan.

Judy was a longtime member of Providence Lutheran Church in Holland, Ohio.

Throughout her life, Judy enjoyed staying active and surrounding herself with people and things she loved. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, square dancing, creating ceramics, crocheting, tending to flowers and plants, sitting by the pool on warm summer days, and traveling. Cruises held a special place among her favorite adventures.

Judy also loved shopping, following the latest fashion trends, going out to dinner, decorating her home, watching television, and settling in with a good crossword puzzle. She had an eye for beautiful things and took great pleasure in making both herself and her surroundings look just right. She loved fashionable clothes, appreciated style, and rarely missed an opportunity to put herself together with care.

Those who knew Judy will remember her wonderfully curious nature and her genuine interest in the lives of those around her. She loved conversation, staying connected with family and friends, and hearing about the everyday moments that mattered to the people she cared about. Her warmth, attentiveness, and laughter were among the many qualities that made her so special.

At the same time, Judy found great happiness in life's quieter pleasures. Whether she was crocheting something by hand, tending to her flowers, decorating her home, or enjoying a summer afternoon by the pool, she had a way of bringing beauty, color, and personality to the world around her.

Judy will be remembered for her curiosity, her sense of style, her love of family, her appreciation for life's pleasures, and the many stories, conversations, and memories she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery.
