Judith A. Batdorff

Judith A. (Oravec) Batdorff, 82, of Northwood, died Sunday, August 7, 2016. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to John and Ann (Schemenauer) Oravec in 1933. She graduated from Olney High School, presently Northwood, and has been married to Robert L. Batdorff for 62 happy years. Judith was associated with the Riverview Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over forty years, baptized in 2008 and served faithfully until her death. Judith enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family, especially her yearly canning of tomatoes that her husband loved. Judith is survived by her loving family; husband, Robert; children, Dana (Dean) Hahn, Daniel (Heidi) Batdorff; grandchildren, Kyle, Ross, and Quinten Batdorff; daughter-in-law, Robin Batdorff; and sister, Jane (John) Bierley. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, David Batdorff. Friends will be received on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121), where a Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. The family asks that donations in Judith’s name be made to The Wood County Humane Society, 801 Van Camp Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, or the Riverview Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
