Juanita A. Liz Zimmerman

Juanita Liz A. Zimmerman, 66, of Genoa, died suddenly Saturday, April 24, 2010, H.B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, Ohio. She was born May 18, 1943, in Rocky Ridge, Ohio, and a 1961 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. On July 15, 1961, in Rocky Ridge she married Robert C. Zimmerman, who preceded her in death December 30, 1990. Juanita was a caregiver for individuals with disabilities retiring in 2004. She was a loving mom and grandma, always thinking of others first. Juanita like playing cards and loved to go shopping and was also involved with activities at the Oak Harbor Senior Center. Juanita is survived by her daughters, Carol J. Rick Shoemaker and Lori L. Holmes, both of Genoa, grandchildren, Howard Chancey IV, Tory Holmes, and Rikki Shoemaker, special friends Chuck Lenke of Oak Harbor and Janet Purney of Genoa, and her brother, Raymond Lemke of Green Springs, OH. She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Lemke, and brothers, Calvin, Douglas, and Myron Mike Lemke. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010, in the funeral home with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery.
