Juana Garza, 87, of Port Clinton, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on September 13, 1923 in Mission, TX to Samual H. and Felicitas G. Garcia Guajardo. She married Meliton M. Garza in Texas on September 16, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1990. Juana had retired in 1988 from East Harbor State Park where she had worked in the janitorial department for 22 seasons or 10 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton and she loved spending time in her yard planting and doing yard work. Juana is survived by daughters: Maria Guadalupe Garza Mullens of Port Clinton, Maria Alicia Garza Rogers of Florida, Anita Garza of Florida, Anjelina Garza of Delaware, OH and Adelina Garza of Port Clinton, sons: Arturo Garza, Armando Garza, Jose Anjel Garza, Anzelmo Garza, and Aaron Garza all of Port Clinton; niece: Maria Delalus Levally, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and nephews: Esteban G. Solis, Roberto G. Solis, and Tony Solis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Sofia G. Guajardo and Refujia G. Solis, brother: Samuel G. Guajardo, Jr., 2 grandchildren: Jeremy Garza and Jessica Guerra, and nephew: Rudy Solis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton with prayers recited at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Christy Chapel Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions in memory of Juana may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton.
