Juan Vasquez Rodriguez, age 68, was embraced by his savior on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania surrounded by his loving family. Juan was born January 5, 1948 in Detroit to the late Domingo and Celia (Vasquez) Rodriguez. He lived many years in Blissfield, MI (Honke Town) before moving to Sylvania, graduating from Sylvania High School in 1967. Juan was a very well-known school bus driver for Sylvania Schools, who honored him with the Educator of the Year Award in 2013. He was also a driving instructor at Toledo Driving School. Juan was a wonderful, hard-working husband, father, and grandfather who was addicted to sports, especially teams from Detroit. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Sharon; daughters, Dorothy and Heather Rodriguez; grandchildren, Eternity Rodriguez, Brandon and husband Tommy Rodriguez; and brother, Jesus Rodriguez. He will be missed by many more family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.).
