Juan Manuel Delgado

Juan Manuel Delgado, Jr. was born July 6, 1975 in Coldwater, OH to Juan Delgado, Sr. and Barbara Delgado. He came to Sunshine Children's Home on September 20, 1976 at the age of 14 months making him one of the longest served individuals in Sunshine's history.

Juan was a quiet, easy going man who made vocalizations only when he was upset, which was rarely. Juan enjoyed listening to audio books, or being read to, listening to soft music, being taken for walks along Sunshine's boardwalk, or visiting a local park.

Juan was Catholic, and enjoyed Faith and Light programs, and visits from deacons from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee.

Juan is survived by a sister, Olivet Castillo of Texas, and his Sunshine Communities family. Juan's gentle spirit will be missed.

A memorial service for Juan will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 10:30 AM at Sunshine Communities' Spiritual Life Center. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Maumee.
