Joyce J. Weber

Joyce J. Weber, 92, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family, passed away Saturday leaving behind a legacy of love and joy.

Born July 13, 1932, at Devil’s Lake, Michigan to Walter Price and Irene Jackson Spangler, Joyce was a guiding light to her friends and family.

Joyce’s passion for life was evident in her love for the outdoors, where she spent countless hours camping, boating, hunting, fishing, and trapshooting with her husband and their family. She found great joy in playing Michigan Rummy with her grandchildren and having tea parties and spa days with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to Bingo and relished card games- except for Bridge.

From 1964 to 1976, Joyce owned and operated the Wayne Beauty Shop in Toledo, Ohio. Afterward, she was the Office Manager at Colgan Electric Co. until her retirement. Joyce and her husband ran Weber Farm, which she later sold to Ducks Unlimited, where it became part of a land conservation program for fish and wildlife, and was renamed Weber Marsh.

Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Weber; her parents; sister Naomi Unger; brothers Jerry and James Price and sister-in-law Janice Price.

She is survived by her children: daughter Darci and favorite son-in-law Robert Salinas, her sons Mark (Debi) Weber, and Dan Weber. She leaves behind nine grandchildren: Juliana (Jason) Salinas-Jump, Elisa (Dan) Lewis, Tara (Matthew) Hudson, Lindsey Weber, Ryan Weber, Nolan Weber, Rachelle (Donovan) Peters, Jacqueline (Trent) Hammer and Elizabeth (Adam) Egbert, as well as 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, February 8th, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 165 East Water Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449. Burial will follow at Rusha Cemetery. Memorial donations in Joyce’s honor may be made out to Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.
