Joyce Louise Stump

Joyce Louise Stump, age 96, passed away on September 25, 2014. Joyce was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to John and Marjorie Spencer. Joyce and her husband, Weldon, founded the Weldon F. Stump & Co., Inc. in 1948. As the used machinery company grew, their son, Robert, and daughter, Karen, joined the company. Eventually Karens husband, Dan Wehrle, was brought into the company as well as their sons, Andrew, Todd and Kevin Wehrle. Joyce and Weldon traveled the world and promoted business in many countries. Along with working for the company for 54 years, Joyce was an avid bridge player, knitter, crossword enthusiast and ballroom dancer. Robert and Karens families wish to express their gratitude to Joyces caregivers, Gloria and Maria for over two years of very caring service. Also, a big thank you to ProMedica Hospice during Joyces final days. Surviving are Joyces daughter, Karen (Daniel) Wehrle and grandsons, Andrew Wehrle, Todd (Lynsey) Wehrle and Kevin (Maria) Wehrle with great granddaughter, Elaina Jane Wehrle. Also surviving are her son, Robert Stump (Sharon) and grandchildren, Rachael (Jason) Nickel, Monica (Nathan) Hill, Adam (Jennifer) Stump, Lucas and Aaron Stump. Great grandchildren are Lily and Jude Nickel, and Anna Mae and Max Stump. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Stump; daughter-in-law, Rene Stump and brother, John B. Spencer.
