Joyce Ella Goins Rains

Joyce Ella (Goins) Rains, 84, of Holland, Ohio died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Whitney County, KY. on June 29, 1933 to Georgia Mae (Crowley) and Rev. Henry Goins. She married Roy R. Rains on April 22, 1957 and they spent 49 years together until his passing on October 27, 2006. Joyce enjoyed gardening, keeping up her house and playing bingo. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by her sons, Robert (Sondra) Rains and Danny (Pam) Rains; grandchildren, Jonathon (Misty Miller) Rains and Shanon Litton (Jason Grezegorczyk); granddaughter-in-law, Shelley Hinton; great grandchildren, Charlie Rains, Alyssa Litton and Jay Litton; brothers, George (Tammy) Goins and Westley (Dottie) Goins; sisters, Betty Harp, Nolamae Sawyers and Darlene Monhollen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; and grandson, Daniel Rains. Friends will be received at Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Hwy., Holland, Ohio (419-865-8879) on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Where funeral services will take place on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 12:00 PM with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Joyce’s family.
