Joyce A. Minarcin

Joyce “Joy” Ann Minarcin, 59, of Lake Twp. formerly of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Bay Park Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was born on August 25, 1961 in Toledo. Joy attended St. Agnes grade school, Notre Dame Academy and Central Catholic High School Graduating in 1979. She went on to receive two associate degrees at Owens Community College, one in Business the other in Accounting. Joy held various office positions for over 40 years, recently as an administrative assistant for the Toledo Area Council of Government. She also worked for Owens Illinois, Kokosing Construction, Ishakawa Gasket, and The Mellocraft Co. Joy loved her Ohio State Buckeyes and spending time with her family and friends. Joy enjoyed scrapbooking, and was an avid bowler, and was a big Ohio State University athletic fan. Joy is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” J. Minarcin Jr; Children, Kurt Hiatt, Kody (Kourtnie Beck) Hiatt, Andrew (Rebecca Harvey) Minarcin and Rachel (Rowan) Leigh Minarcin; Grandsons, Sebastian and Knight; Brother, Michael Goble; sister, Barbara (David) Trevino; mother-in-law, Janice Minarcin; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dorothy Goble; grandparents, Bud and Elizabeth Goble; father-in-law, Dick Minarcin; nephew, Jordan Friess; uncles, Ray and Eddie Goble; aunts, Mary and Helen Goble; cousins, Cindy and Larry Goble. A special “thank you” to the I.C.U. staff at Bay Park Hospital for their outstanding care. There will be a graveside service at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. Memorial donations may be made in Joy’s name to Diabetes Foundation.
