Joyce A Markus

Joyce A. Markus, age 75, of Maumee passed away on April 10, 2012 in her home. She was born May 8, 1936 in Perrysburg, OH to Raymond and Matilda Cepris Atherton. Joyces passion was her garden, spending her time coaxing beautiful blossoms and fragrant flowers to fill the yard with color and the scent of springtime. Joyce was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Perrysburg, OH and faithfully attended her Bible Study group. After working at Tiedtkes Department Store and the Lions Store salons, her dream was realized when she opened her own salon in 1980. Joyce is survived by her son, John of Barberton, OH ; daughters, Pamela Parker of Maumee, OH and Penny Jo Lewis of Toledo, OH; sister, Janice Funk of Perrysburg, OH; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson, Joshua, and sister, Bonnie Bellman. Friends and family may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Saturday April 14, 2012 from 10am until the time of services at 1pm.
