Joyce A Lakin

Joyce A. Lakin, 83, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1937 in California, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Henry and Mary Ann (Underwood) Lane, Sr. On August 28, 1954 in Sandusky, Ohio, she married Ralph W. Lakin and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2012. Joyce managed the Holiday Village Motel and Cottages on Catawba Island for many years where she also did housekeeping. She was an active member for many years of the Sandusky Community of the Nazarene Church in Sandusky, Ohio where she served as a board member, active in many committees and planning dinners. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: daughters: Pamela (David) Kubasek of Catawba Island and Jennifer Orosz of Oak Harbor; daughter-in-law: Patricia Lakin of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Benjamin Lakin, Danielle Lakin and Quinton Orosz; great-grandson: Lucas Russell; and nephews, Tedd Roth and James Roth. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Danny Lakin, sister: Donna L. (Lane) Roth and brother: William "Bill" Lane, Jr. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 10 am until Funeral services at 11 am in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 216 Washington St, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH.
