Joyce E. Kissoff passed away March 28, 2014. She was born in 1936 to George F. and Violet L. Compton in Toledo, Ohio. From the 7th grade on she was raised in Point Place by her grandparents, Albert and Alma Aberling. She was a graduate of Waite High School in 1954 and attended Davis Business College. Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Victor Kissoff in 1956. She worked for the Toledo Board of Education from 1955 to1959 when she left to become a stay at home mother and raised three wonderful children. In addition, she worked as a volunteer in the Kleis Elementary School library in Point Place while her children attended there. She also volunteered in various capacities at Messiah Lutheran Church. When her husband started his accounting practice in 1979, Joyce performed office and secretarial duties. She played an integral part in her husbands career by helping with each successful busy season for more than 25 years. In 2013, Joyce became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution along with her daughter and her granddaughters after genealogy research performed by a family member. Joyce was a member of the Sophia Fleming chapter in Fleming Island, Florida. Joyce was a caregiver to many relatives, friends and neighbors who needed assistance. Whether it was running errands, driving them to appointments or caring for them during illnesses, she was always there to help with a kind and loving heart. She loved being a grandmother and was able to care for several of her grandchildren in her home. In her spare time Joyce enjoyed taking care of her home, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Joyce is survived by her husband, Victor Kissoff; children Nicholas Karen Kissoff, Gregory Ellen Kisov, Victoria Daniel Staifer; grandchildren, Alex Krissy Kisov, Sami Kisov Austin Bohn, Kyle Kissoff, Kristy Kissoff, Venessa Jacobs, Daniel Lori Staifer, Derek Christina Staifer, and Desiree Staifer, and five great grandchildren.
