Joyce E. Caris

Joyce E. Caris, age 60, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 at The Toledo Hospital. The daughter of Harvey and Virginia Schmieder, she was born Jan. 12, 1948 in Toledo. She attended Libbey High School. Joyce was extremely talented when it came to crafts and was known for her painting ceramics. The true love of Joyces life was her family, they completed her life and filled it with immeasurable happiness. She was the best mom, wife, grandma, sister, friend and kindest soul any one could ever meet, we will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband, James; children, Michael Kellie Bair, Hope Mike Spears, Joyce Freddy Hall, Tracy Caris; grandchildren, Amanda King, Autumn Hall, Andrew Hall, Michael Spears III, Amber Hall; great grandchild, Devon Garcia; sisters, Julie Martin Martinez, Dorothy Ron Adkins, Bonnie Paulun; brothers, Marty Shirley Schmieder, John Margaret Schmieder; 6 nephews & 10 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harvey Schmieder; brother-in-law, Bill Paulun; and nephew, Martin Martinez, Jr. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 5-9 PM and Tuesday 2-9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday with Rev. Jerry Craig officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Ronald McDonald House.
