Joyce Bremyer

Joyce Marie Bremyer, age 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, in her sleep June 7, 2025.

Born on August 13, 1934, in Tiffin, Ohio, Joyce embodied perseverance from an early age. As a widowed, single mother, she worked tirelessly to put herself through college – an extraordinary act of determination and resilience. She earned her pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University in 1970 and began her career with Super X in Kenton, Ohio becoming the first woman manager in the Super X/Kroger Company. She was a trailblazer as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Upjohn until she retired. She was incredibly proud of her work. In her free time, she enjoyed unwinding at the casino and finding peace in her garden.

Joyce navigated every chapter of her life with quiet strength and fierce independence. Above all, she was deeply devoted to her family.

She is survived by her three children – Denny Edwards (Deb), Brenda Marsh (Steve) and Cathi Clum (Carey), four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a part of her spirit forward. Her life stands as a testament to hard work, grit, and the enduring power of a mother’s love.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 14, 2025, from 9:30am-10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am. Interment will take place at Catawba Island Cemetery following mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to ONU College of Pharmacy.
