Joy Patricia Joy Ann Schiewe

Joy Patricia Joy Ann Schiewe, 80, of Sandusky and formerly of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 13, 1932, the daughter of Rudolph and Mildred Egger Wuertz. On June 6, 1953 at St. Johns Church, Port Clinton, OH she married Norris Schiewe and he survives. Joy was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She worked at Ame Packaging, was a telephone operator, worked in the school cafeteria, Quisnos candy shop and was a homemaker. Joy loved raising her children and grandchildren, homemaking, sewing, cooking and animals. She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and pets. Joy will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Husband: Norris Schiewe; Son: Jeffery Deb Schiewe; Daughter: Deborah Earl Moore; Grandsons: Bryan J. Kim Schramm and Eric J. Theresa Schramm; Granddaughters: Kendra Mack Kellerman, Lindsay Matt Metter and Courtney Greg Schiewe; Great-Grandchildren: Jaelen Schiewe, Mia Joy Metter, Emme Kellerman and Baby B Schramm due December 2013. Molly the dog and Butchy the cat survive. Joy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Wuertz. Visitation will be 5-8pm, Friday, September 27, 2013 in the Gerner-Wolf- Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Holli Burkard at 11:00am, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH with visitation from 10-11am. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions in memory of Joy may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
