Joshua David Murphy, age 21, of Toledo, died October 1, 2017 at home, following a long battle with cancer. He was born July 6, 1996 in Toledo and graduated from the Toledo School for the Arts in 2014. Joshua was proud of his hometown of Toledo, loved his video games, and was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Buckeyes, Chargers and professional wrestling. He followed the local wrestling scene closely. Josh played the bass guitar and liked to keep track of local bands. He will also be remembered for his terrific sense of humor. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Kathy Sedlar; father, William Murphy; grandparents, Judy and Tony Sedlar, Bill and Ardie Murphy, and Charlene and Richard Zeiter; and great-grandmother, Betty Brown: sister, Marisa Murphy; significant other, Victoria “Tori” Tredway; aunts, Patti Merritt and Debbie Aunt Jerk Brumley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Devin Murphy. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017. Interment Toledo Memorial Park. There will be a local wrestling show in his honor on Oct. 14 at the “Believe Center” in Toledo.
