Joshua Michael Cessna

Joshua Michael Cessna, 34, of Temperance, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 14, 2020.  He was born in Toledo on May 19, 1985; son of Donna (Joe) Weiser and Michael Cessna.  He attended Bedford Public Schools and has worked in the culinary field since graduation.  His passion for cooking led him to become a well respected head chef at his family’s restaurant.  He was a loving father to Audrey and Isaac who will miss him dearly. Josh was a devout follower of our Lord Jesus Christ as well as a relentless lover of his children, Audrey, 13, and Isaac, 6. Josh overcame addiction and proudly lived the last five years in sobriety.  He had a steadfast faith which sparked him to be a diligent worker for the gospel through serving at the Salvation Army.  He also was known for declaring his deep love for the ones who surrounded him with joy on a daily basis.  Josh was a beacon of love that guided many people to follow the Lord.  Joshua Cessna was truly a man after Gods heart. Josh leaves his beloved children to cherish his memory, along with; mother, Donna (Joe) Weiser; father, Michael Cessna; grandparents, Don and Wanda Beczynski; siblings, Barb (Jason) Rahman, Joe (Michelle) Weiser, Jenna (Stevie) Lazur, Lindsay (Wesley) Michael, Jacob (Jaqui) Cessna; many nieces and nephews; a gigantic Polish family; and his loving girlfriend, Brittany Pfaff. Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo (419-841-2422).  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Bedford Alliance Church, 8645 Jackman Road, Temperance, MI 48182 at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for the care of Joshs children, Audrey and Isaac.
