Josephine C. Horsman

Josephine Horsman, age 101, of Toledo, OH, passed away on March 30, 2026. She was born in 1924 to parents Joseph and Louise Walkowiak in Toledo, Ohio. She always remembered her younger days fondly, outdoors with her six sisters and brother. Josephine enjoyed tending her garden and helping those in the neighborhood with their gardens. She was a quiet and thoughtful person.

Josephine married George H. Horsman in 1953, who predeceased her. They were married at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where they remained members until the parish closed. She was actively involved in the Altar/Rosary Society, volunteered at the school library, and participated in many other activities.

Josephine is predeceased by her beloved husband, George, and daughter, Barbara Mason. She is survived by her sons, George (Cheryl), Chris (Marc Miller), Andy, son-in-law Bob, and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Josephine is also survived by her siblings, Martha Pence and John Walkowiak, as well as many nieces and nephews.
