Joseph Wise

Joseph Wise, 65, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on December 20, 2023. He was born on March 23, 1958, to Ralph and Nelda Wise.

Joe graduated from Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio. He was the proud owner of R. House Bar for 20 years. Joe enjoyed tinkering, fixing, and building things. He had a fondness for music, especially playing the piano. He enjoyed watching old western movies, The Golden Girls, and had a quick wit about him with a great sense of humor.

Joe is survived by his loving husband, Steven Glynn; nephew, Jeff Wise; sister-in-law, Katie Hoag (Brad Thomas); brothers-in-law, Fred (Chrissy) Glynn, Ed (Kit) Glynn, Patrick (Mary Lou) Glynn; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Wise; and sister-in-law, Veronica “Red.”

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home with interment immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery, 8529 Brown Road, Curtice, Ohio. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Joe’s caregiver, Corey, from Hospice of Northwest Ohio for her loving care for the past several months. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Joseph may be given to Perrysburg Mercy Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
