JOSEPH R. WATKEYS Joseph R. Watkeys, age 79, of Holland, Ohio departed this earth to join his beloved Audrey in Heaven on January 6, 2014. Joe was born February 24, 1934 to Robert and Dorothy Watkeys in Rochester, N.Y. He married his bride Audrey on September 5, 1959 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Cincinnati, Ohio. They were blessed to have celebrated 51 years of marriage. Joe retired from Chrysler/Jeep after almost 30 years of employment. He was a life-long member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. His love of life, and his legacy live on through his children, Raye Ann Boroff (Keith Langlois), Jane Berry, Theresa (Todd) Wandstrat and Mary Beth (Bill) McMeekan. Pa will be missed by his grandkids, Michael Boroff, Jon, Elyse and Adam Berry, Andrew, Evan and Chris Wandstrat and Devan and Parker McMeedan, sibling Richard (Sally) Watkeys. Siblings through marriage, Charlene Katenkamp, Lavina (Harmon) Krause, George Ahlers, Tom (Jean) Ahlers, Joseph (Carol) Ahlers, Mira Ahlers as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son-in-law, Michael Boroff and siblings through marriage Geralding and George Huber, Donald, Robert and Wilma Ahlers. Thank yo to the wonderful and caring staff at Lake Park who took excellent care of him in his final days, especially Dr. Robert Wenzke. Family and friends will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014, where memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Blessed Sacrament Parish.
