Joseph Thomas Torti

Joseph Thomas Torti, age 81 of Toledo passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 27, 1934 in Toledo to Joseph Leo and Mary Elizabeth (Konrad) Torti. Joe was a 1952 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a Navy veteran. He was a tool and die maker with General Motors in Toledo for 33 years, retiring in 1998. He loved his family and his friends and enjoyed wintering in a warm location. Surviving is his wife Barbara; children Joseph Torti, Regina Torti, Susan Torti, Jane Baker, Anthony (Karen) Torti and Bonnie Torti; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Monday from 2-8 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday after 10 AM in Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane Toledo where the funeral mass will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be private. The family wishes to thank the Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their compassionate care and suggest memorials to St. Francis DeSales High School, Notre Dame Academy, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
