Joseph R. Sehein, age 77 of Maumee passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. Joseph was born November 25, 1937 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Joseph and Mary Sehein. A graduate of Perth Amboy High School, he served in the Navy from 1955-1959 aboard the USS Tarawa. After the military he was employed by Ford Motor Company in Edison, New Jersey for 42 years, where he was vice president and president of the Local 980 in New Jersey. A member of The Elks Club, The Italian American Club and The American Legion, he loved hunting, fishing and traveling. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard Pancho Sehein and sister Ruth Helyes, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Sehein; sons, Allen J. (Marilyn) and Joseph D. (Sandy); daughters, Cindy Sehein McNamara and Pennie Sehein Alvarez (Robert); sisters, Mary Jane Schiadaresis and Beverly Sabo; 13 grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica), Melissa (Paul), Jason, Danny, Allen, Derrick (Samantha), Bobby, Elizabeth, Billy, Danielle, Cody, Joey, Samantha; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Friends may call Maison- Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, on Tuesday after 2:00 pm where services will follow at 4:00 pm.
