Joseph C. Redieck, Jr.

Joseph “Pops” C. Redieck, Jr., age 87 of Oregon, OH passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital in Oregon. He was born on May 17, 1931 in Toledo to Joseph C. and Helen (Johnson) Redieck, Sr. He married Anna Ruth Chotar and together they raised four children. Joe had been employed with Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company for 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed playing his drums with his wife and her keyboard at local pubs. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching sports. Surviving are his children, Colleen Smith, Kathy Stripling, Robert (Paula) Redieck and David Redieck; sisters, Sally Lytle and Mary Lou Stripling; brother and best friend, Richard “Sam” Redieck. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife Anna Redieck on January 19, 2011; and his brother, Ronald Redieck. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4 to 8 PM at the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Rd., Rossford, OH 43460. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11 AM at Lake Township Cemetery in Millbury.
