Joseph A. Reau

Joseph A. Reau, 74, of Oak Harbor, OH died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. He was born on March 11, 1939 in Oak Harbor, OH to Lawson C. and Lavida Humphrey Reau. On November 21, 1959 in Toledo, OH he married Constance Connie J. Mayer, and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2010. Joe graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Navy. Early in his life he worked as a commercial fisherman and in construction, and then for Standard Products in Port Clinton until retirement. Joe enjoyed watching Fox News and the weather. He especially liked being with family and friends hanging out in his pole barn. Joe is survived by his sons: Joseph C. Lynn Reau of Oak Harbor, OH, Robert N. Chandra Reau of Marysville, OH, daughters: Tina M. King of Lawtey, FL and Mary S. Reau of Perrysburg, OH, 6 grandchildren: Jessica, Heather, Christopher, Brittany, Zach, and Alyssa, and brother: Nelson Francis Reau of Oak Harbor, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Per Joes wishes, cremation has taken place and a Toussainter Wake at Joes Pole Barn will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2013 starting at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Joe may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 401 Tomahawk Dr., Maumee, OH 43537.
