Joseph James Pozon, Sr.

Joseph James Pozon, Sr. born on July 27, 1966 in Lapu-Lapu City, (Cebu) Philippines, passed away on May 14, 2021. He resided in Toledo, Ohio at the time of his passing. Joseph attended Cherry Hill High School in Inkster, MI where he participated in several sports, with Baseball being his all-time favorite. Joseph was a “Joe” of all trades. He would give you the shirt off his back and was always known for helping others any way he could. Joseph was Loved by everyone. It did not matter if you were a stranger, family member or friend, Joseph was in immense ball of energy that would command the whole room. He always had a positive attitude an infectious smile and he was always a joy to be around. Joseph left an impact on every person he encountered. Joseph lived life his own way and taught us all to enjoy life to the fullest. He was outgoing and rambunctious but he wanted to leave this earth peacefully and God granted his wish when he called him home to Glory. Joseph is survived by his 6 siblings, Rey, Anna (Edwin), Johnathan, Jonas (Timolin), Dino, and Rheamie (Geno); His sons, Joseph James Jr. (Sydny), Andrew (Ericka) and James (Bryanna), his beloved wife LaTanya and bonus children, Patrinique, Talia, Patrick, LaTrell, DaShawn and Trinity; along with 14 grandchildren, Jozlyn, Antonio, Emmy and Jamie, Logan, Carmen and Kacie, Ja’Lon, Kendra and Jai’Ceon, Rayvon, Mi’Joy, A’Legend and Amiyah; he also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Joseph is preceded in death by his father Ray Consorcio and his mother Fleurdelis who will welcome their son Joseph home in Heaven. Tears may fall from our faces knowing Joseph is not here with us, but we are comforted by the scripture (II Corinthians 5:8 NLT) “Yes we are fully confident and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord”.
